Many of Merriam’s Enriched students have seen plenty of stages – from music festivals to showcases, recitals and more.  Last weekend, however, many got to try their hand at entertaining throngs of back-to-school shoppers at Oakville Place for the first time.  The result?  Crowds of more than one hundred completely swarming the small stage setup.  The impromptu performance at the mall was part of Merriam’s policy of constantly finding new and interesting ways of sharing music with the community while at the same time increasing the performance experience of its students.  Given the success, don’t be surprised to see a Merriam student playing at a mall near you!
