Shaylynn Anderson plays saxophone, woodwinds and piano and is attending Humber College, enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program. Studying with some of Canada’s best saxophone players such as Mark Promane and Pat Labarbera, she continues to grow in every aspect of her musicianship. Shaylynn has played in many ensembles in and outside of Humber including: Mark Promane’s Advanced Woodwind Doubling, Hilario Duran’s Latin Workshop, Alex Dean’s Saxophone Quartet, Gord Sheard’s Brazilian Workshop, Humber’s B Band, The Braeden Kloke Big Band, The Braeden Kloke Sextet, and Total Recall. She is capable of playing many different genres and has a passion for jazz as well as teaching.

Shaylynn is very excited to be teaching at Merriam Music and hopes to inspire a love of music in all of her students.
