Matthew’s musical knowledge is diverse; having experience in performing genres such as Jazz, Funk, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B, Latin, Brazilian, Indian and Symphonic music. On top of primarily being a drummer, Matthew is also a multi-talented instrumentalist and has skills on the piano, guitar, bass, vocals and various percussion instruments.
Matthew earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music with honours from the Humber College Music program and has studied with world class musicians such as Mark Kelso, Paul Delong, Don Vickery, Ravi Naimpally, Ted Quinlan, Andrew Jones, Lorne Nehring, Shelly Berger, Dave Restivo, Alex Dean, Justin Gray, Trevor Giancola, Larnell Lewis, John Mcleod, Andy Ballantyne and Gord Sheard.
