Robert Zikovic began his formal training at The La Scala Music Conservatory where he learned the fundamentals of music technique and theory. He went on to study at Humber College under the direction Ted Quinlan graduating with honours. He toured across Canada honing his skills as a performer and enrolled in several music business courses. Though his main background is in the rock, blues and folk genres, Robert is a well-rounded guitarist. He cites numerous musical influences that have helped shape his distinctive style: Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Pat Metheny, Segovia and even Mozart and Beethoven. Robert has shared the stage with performers such as Jeff Healy, Amanda Marshal, and Adams Rib. Robert is an exceptional guitar teacher having over fifteen years of experience. Friendly and amiable he has a talent for conveying musical concepts to students of all ages and levels in a relaxed, fun atmosphere, providing them with a solid musical foundation. He teaches all ages and all levels and is an excellent choice for students in the exam stream.
Rob can also teach beginner bass students up to JR4 level.
