I had great experience with Merriam Music. They really care about customer and pays great attention to our needs. There were some issues with other store at first but the manager solved it well and his sincerity and honesty really impressed me. There were plenty of selection in this store. I always wanted to have a great piano, finally I met mine. I love the sound and the touch of it. Highly recommend this store. I recently shot a music video for a non profit organization and used the rehearsal stage. I have to say that it has been one of the best experiences in shooting a music video. The guys were very helpful and assisted in all of our requirements. The rehearsal stage is very beautiful and professional. This is the third digital piano that I buy from these stores. They have the most knowledgeable people working here. I got actual "honest" advice both musically and technically so I could take a well informed decision. I liked how honest they were when making recommendations. This made me feel that I had to take their advice seriously. All the pianos I bought from them have been a "perfect choice" for me. I was really impressed with my experience at Merriam Music. Great range of pianos and excellent service. Patrick at Merriam was extremely helpful and patient. He answered all my questions, showed me a range of instruments that helped me understand some of the pros and cons, price points, etc. He spent many hours with me, and was also really responsive by email and phone (piano buying is a big deal and takes a fair bit of research and time). I was thrilled with the instrument I purchased from them - seriously, every day I get up and play I'm grateful for what I purchased, and for the experience I had there. I don't write reviews very often, but I wanted to make sure to get this in because some piano stores are like car dealerships - they might try a hard sell, or misrepresent their product, or try to upsell you, etc. I didn't feel that way at all here. I had a fantastic experience here. I am new to piano and came here to purchase my first one. I wanted a digital and to see them in person, so I came in from out of town. Great selection of digital (and acoustic) pianos to help make a final choice. Riley assisted me and was very kind and knowledgeable and helped me decide on one. I had a very positive experience working with Riley at Merriam Pianos to create a plan for a trade in of my baby grand piano for the purchase of a beautiful Kwai 300. With Riley’s assistance I managed to move the baby grand out of our home and a few months later moved the Kwai upright into our new condo. Through the process I was provided with timely and complete information and received very professional service from the folks at Merriam and their piano moving company Braemore. I am very happy with the deal I made on the trade of my baby grand and delighted with the K300 choice thanks to the advice from Riley, who was very patient and informative as I looked at options. Highly recommend this company if you are searching for quality in service and piano choices.read more

Normally I don’t do reviews, but since I’m still awake and exciting @140am because of today’s Merriam visit, might as well. And the exceptionally good customer service at Merriam is definitely worth recommending.As an absolute beginner, all I was trying to do was to touch and feel some of the digital pianos, and eventually purchase one and start learning. I’ve done a fair bit of research, on paper, but never got a chance to experience the real thing. So I went to the Merriam showroom this afternoon in the hope of seeking professional advice and boy was it worth it! Thanks to Patrick, who’s extremely nice and patient, if it wasn’t for your great customer service, I wouldn’t have made the purchase on site. Oh did I mention that I bought a BEAUTIFUL Kawai CN29 at an unbelievably good price! it’s definitely an impulse buy, I was never planning to make a purchase even after I’ve seen and touched all the floor models. It was after you’ve played the nice piece on kdp110 and CN29 that I started to seriously think about getting one right there. What I didn’t tell you was that we’ve had our eyes on the Casio PX860 that’s going to be on sale at Costco.ca for $900 from Feb 17. Money was already put aside for it (in another word, I’ve spent so much more than planned, thanks to Merriam) Another thing I didn’t say was the key action on the PX850 and PX160 in your showroom, well, idk, just felt so bad compare to Kawai, even the KDP110 feels so much better than the Casio. So there’s that, I guess I could comfort myself saying money well spent. Anyways, it was a pleasant surprise visiting the showroom, and I would hands down recommending Merriam pianos to anyone who’s looking to buy or even just to experience different kind of pianos. Great place to start, and very likely the place to finalize the purchase, just like what I did. Finally thanks to Stu, for making this deal happen. I’m a fan, watched all your YouTube videos, those reviews were really helpful during my research phase, and they were also one of the reasons why I ended up in your showroom today and made a purchase. Well... it was a long time coming but I finally decided to purchase a Kawai VPC-1 piano controller from Merriam Pianos. I can honestly say that when it comes to knowledge and professionalism that Merriam Pianos rates the highest in my books! From getting digital and acoustic questions answered from Stu a few years ago, having a pleasant interaction with Robin in 2016 and to finally being treated with great respect from Joe throughout the process of purchasing my new instrument... I just want to convey a sincere "thank you" to all you guys! You made me feel like royalty! In regards to acquiring my purchase, the process was painless. After much research, I wanted to purchase a Kawai K300 piano, which seemed to have the perfect specs for our narrow Toronto home, and discovered Merriam pianos through their website (which is encyclopedic as regards pianos). My mother had also recommended this store. I had the pleasure of dealing with Robin, who provided me with exceptional service, and facilitated the process of removing our old piano and moving the new Kawai to our house. Since we are in the midst of a pandemic, it is no longer possible to go to the store to try pianos on the premises, but if a customer is dissatisfied with the piano, he/she is permitted to return the instrument within a month of purchase. Not an issue for us! We are absolutely delighted with our new instrument (second week - still settling in). The piano was shipped to the Oakville location, tuned, and delivered to our house in under a week! The movers used by this company were professional and punctual. During this period Robin contacted me several times/made himself available for questions throughout, so the whole process was worry-free. The warranty is good for 10 years and the company also offers another follow-up tuning. I highly recommend this store - professional with superb service and products.read more

At the beginning I ordered a keyboard stand online but they sent the wrong item which didn't fit. However Riley offered to schedule to delivery the right item and pick up the wrong one right away when I notified them about the issue. They really tried their best to fix the problem, and as a result only 2 days later I received the right keyboard stand I originally ordered.Due to the Covid situation I couldn't visit their store, and Riley has been really helpful still provided useful info and answered my questions by email and phone calls. I ended up buying the Kawai digital piano from them at a very reasonable price, and really happy with the whole transaction process and their service. We were in the market for a new or used upright piano. There were several companies we had our eyes on in the Toronto area. Merriam Pianos in Vaughn was the closest and our first stop. Arriving just as the doors were opening, the very friendly gentleman (a music teacher) began showing us around. Once the saleswoman, Kalista arrived, she took over and well, the rest is history. There were so many wonderful pianos to look at, but as good fortune would have it, a used Yamaha U3 had just arrived in the store, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Kalista was wonderful to work with, made sure we got a great deal, and today, the piano arrived fully tuned and sounding amazing. We highly recommend Kalista and her team at Merriam Pianos.read more

The experience here was awesome!!Came in looking for a CA99 ($8K) and NV5 ($12K). The salesperson (Robin) could have easily tried to sell us the 12k one but he looked at our situation and suggested the 8k one which tells you enough that he just cares about the customer getting the right piano for their needs. He made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable, I'd recommend anyone looking for a piano to come here because they truly are nice genuine people and not looking at you as a dollar sign.read more

We ordered a piano from here and unfortunately Kawai was back ordered due to Covid. Our initial sales agent kept delaying us until providing a loaner made by Roland. Somehow we were fortunate to get connected with Patrick (Ext 283). He instantly found us a piano in inventory that was delivered to us in 2 weeks. I purchased a baby grand piano from Robert Lowry about 15 years ago. Don was amazing then and has continued to impress. While refinishing it, he made sure I was involved in the process at every step of the way. He suggested a mahogany finish and it turned out beautifully - it’s a beautiful feature of my home. I recently started searching for my dream piano. I chatted with Brent from Merriam Music online. I was impressed by his initial email on the Estonia piano. He was thorough and provided me with concrete information and not just sales pitch. I then proceeded to visit their stores at the Robert Lowry location and the Oakville location. I initially selected a piano then decided at the last minute to change my mind. Brent was very accomodating and provided me with a price and solution that I was happy with. I am just now waiting for the delivery of my dream piano. Brent has taken a lot of his time in answering my endless questions and has been very professional.
