Rena Yung began learning the piano at the age of six from the recommendation of her parents, and gradually developed a passion and love for music. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from Wilfrid Laurier University under the study of Leslie De’ath. Her teaching experience includes private instruction for children and adolescents, as well as teaching a year-long music class for young students. Her past performance includes various competitions such as Scarborough Music Festival, Kiwanis Music Festival, and Toronto Musical Festival accumulating multiple medals. She has also showcased her skills to renowned pianists and professors through masterclasses.
As a flexible teacher, Rena hopes to inspire others through guiding and supporting their musical journey. She hopes to help students find their own voice, and be able to express themselves freely.
