The CE220 features 88 wooden keys. That’s our AWA Pro II Wooden Key Action. The connection to the instrument, the feel, and the expression is amazing in this instrument. The piano sound itself uses 88-key Sampling, that’s Progressive Harmonic Imaging technology. 88-key Sampling preserves the original character of each key giving you an amazingly authentic piano sound. A well respected veteran in the Kawai digital piano line, this piano has been bringing years of musical enjoyment and can bring the same experience to your family!
OUT OF STOCK
The first thing that stands out with this high-quality Kawai digital piano, is the beautiful, traditional-looking design in a gorgeous classic black finish. The controls on the piano are a throw-back to the older days when all the buttons were right in front of the user for easy access – a feature that many people prefer.
Easy-to-use buttons allow you to switch sounds quickly and when you want to blend two sounds together, such as piano and strings, there is a very convenient balance slider that allows you to control the volume of both sounds to your liking.
Just turn the piano on and from the first time you start to play, you will be amazed at the acoustic grand piano sound this technology and sound system produce. A variety of 22 musical instruments allows you to explore and experiment with different settings. There is a split mode that allows you to have one side of the piano as one voice, and the other side with a completely different voice, such as bass on the left side of the keyboard and piano on the right side.
Special 4 hands mode splits the piano which means you can easily play duets with 2 performers playing on 2 identical 44 note pianos.
A built-in metronome that can be programmed with a variety of time signatures is perfect for the budding student or advanced musician.
There are also 3 built-in pedals for damper effect, sostenuto, and soft play.
The song recorder allows you to record your own music and then store it onto a USB memory stick using the convenient USB jack.
29 Classical Piano Songs are stored in the CE220’s internal memory. An accompanying music book is also provided.
There are even 2 headphone jacks which makes great quiet playing for teacher and student, duet work, or late night
Thanks to the AWA PROII wooden-key, graded-hammer action with counterbalancing, you will find the feel of Kawai CE220 action easy to control and responsive to the touch.
Graded hammer action means the weight is slightly heavier in the bass end, getting progressively lighter as you move up the keyboard – just like an acoustic piano!
Sound Engine / Tone Generator
The CE220 utilizes Kawai’s acclaimed Progressive Harmonic Imaging™ Sound Technology to create a very realistic, impressive piano sound. 88-key piano sampling preserves the individual tonal character of each note.
2 x 5 pin MIDI jacks and a second USB jack are useful for connecting with other musical instruments and computers. Line In jacks allow an external audio device, such as an MP3 player, to be heard through the instrument’s speaker system. Line Out jacks let you play through an external sound system or make a digital audio recording with an external recorder or computer.
