A versatile and well rounded musician who is comfortable in a variety of styles, guitarist William Mukuna is an energetic performer, music instructor and composer. Through his exposure to a diversity of cultures and styles, William brings a unique touch to his teaching experience.
As a child, he studied classical guitar and was exposed to Afro beat, Cuban and Latin music. William graduated from the jazz performance program at Mohawk College. This is where he benefited from the teachings of several well-known Canadian musicians such as Joey Goldstein, Bob Shields and Jonathan Earp for classical guitar.
William has performed with various artists in the GTA and Hamilton region but also in Europe. He was featured on Jazz FM 91.1 on the Jazzology program hosted by Larry Green. Performances include
The Brantford Jazz festival for the last two years with his jazz trio. William enjoys teaching and believes that every student has talents and abilities to learn. French immersion guitar lessons are also available.
